How To Start Shawarma Business In Pakistan

Few years back, such kind of food stuff is just mysteries but in the current era, Shawarma’s are part of daily life routine. Its demand has increased tremendously. It is becoming a trend day by day in the cities. Its sale happened day and night but its prime time starts in evening, when most of people are free from their jobs and work etc.

With the increasing demand of this product, it is a good business for people who want to start one in Pakistan, India or any other country.

Many people are using this product on daily basis but have you ever think whether to start this business or how these are made? Very few people thought about it but it has a huge profit margin. The special thing about this business is low investment but high income.

So, what are the things required to start this business and how much investment does this business required, is discussed here:

1.       Land:

Land should be in front of some shopping mall, general stores etc. You can permanently make a shop for it and start business or you can make it mobile, which is highly preferable, either on some vehicle or trolley (specifically made for it) and set it in busy areas. Area should be busy and near parking or have your own. It can also be started in front of hospitals, near schools or colleges etc.

2.       Machinery:

Make an especial trolley for this business. In this trolley, all the necessary tools are preinstalled. This can easily be bought from market in nearby 50000 PKR. A small cabin, a skewer (Seekh) inside this cabin to hold chicken around it, a small burner to give chicken, heat are installed. However this concept is ending day by day. Now chicken is fried on round griddle (Tawa) like tukka-tuk.  So if you go that way, then you need a tawa, burner and LPG gas cylinder.

3.       Procedure:

Chicken has been mixed with different spices (Masala) in day time and it take 2-3hours for these spices to get completely absorbed by this chicken and give its own taste to it, also make it softer. Fry it, and then you need breads and salad. Put this chicken and salad on this special bread and enroll it. Few people in this business also add mayonnaise. 95% people used their own mayonnaise.

4.       Profit:

You may have observed that Shawarma’s are sold in 3 different sizes. Small, Medium and Large. These all have different prices according to their sizes, say 60, 80 and 100 respectively. So if you ask for 60 Rs shawarma, then they will give you shawarma with approximately 60 gram chicken in it. If it is 80, then 80 gram and in 100Rs, 100 gram chicken. Chicken’s rate fluctuates throughout the year and most of the time, remain under 200 PKR. So if you calculate, they charge 1 Rs for 1 gram so on 1 kg chicken, they earn 500Rs profit. In busy areas, where people used to go in free time, there 3-4 kg chicken usually used.

So this all till now, search more for it if you want to be in, in this particular business. Some more tips are to add a refrigerator to store cold drinks, to be served to customers.  Mostly people use to pack shawarmas but some want to eat there, so if you set up some chairs to sit, it will be a good idea. Moreover, you can put your cell number on display to receive orders for home delivery as well.
